IFG’s Advisory/Merchant Banking business provides creative solutions to its clients targeting middle market infrastructure and project finance opportunities, including energy infrastructure, transportation logistics, telecom infrastructure and natural resources. Advisory capabilities include private equity and debt capital raising services and strategic advisory services. The senior team at IFG possesses a large and deep set of relationships in the global investment community, including specialist private equity firms, insurance companies, pension funds, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, and mezzanine and other non-traditional lenders. Transaction sizes range between $25 million and $1 billion.

IFG favors a Merchant Banking approach to most of its advisory engagements. IFG focuses on high-quality transactions where it will serve both as trusted financial advisor and direct investor, resulting in greater alignment of interests and long-term value-add. Many of these transactions will entail IFG co-investing via a Special Purpose Vehicle, often alongside other institutional capital partners. These transactions allow select IFG LP’s access to direct investment exposure on a deal-by-deal basis.

IFG is capitalizing on attractive industry dynamics to provide strategic services for middle market projects. IFG favors long-lived projects, counterparties with strong credit profiles, involving both new construction and existing assets.
