Tom Boova has responsibilities directing IFG’s Asset Management business, as well as the Firm’s capital formation and client relationship functions. Prior to IFG, he was a Managing Director at Landmark Advisors responsible for capital formation and assisting in Real Assets manager due diligence. Tom has over ten years of private equity and private wealth management experience.
Tom began his career at The First Boston Corporation, now Credit Suisse, where he was the Global Head of Short Term Trading and Sales. After 14 years at Credit Suisse First Boston, he moved to Deutsche Bank where he was a member of the Fixed Income Management, Finance and Credit Committees. Tom moved to PaineWebber Inc. where he held a number of senior positions including Head of PaineWebber International in London and a member of the PaineWebber Inc. Operating Committee. After the merger with UBS AG, Tom moved to HSBC Securities USA as the Head of Business Development for the Americas before returning to UBS Private Wealth Management.
Tom holds a B.A. from the University of Dayton and completed his graduate studies in Corporate Planning and International Management at the University of Pennsylvania. He also completed advanced management course work at the London Business School.

Turner has responsibilities directing IFG’s Asset Management business and serves as the Portfolio Manager of the IFG Real Assets program. Prior to IFG, Turner was a Managing Director at Landmark Advisors, LLC where he also directed the private equity efforts in Real Assets. He was co-founder of an alternative asset management firm where he oversaw the launch and was a Portfolio Manager of both the Real Assets and Global Distressed multi-manager programs, where he directed allocations to over 40 private equity and hedge fund managers globally, as well as direct co-investments.
Turner has over 30 years of Wall Street investment banking, private equity and alternative investment experience. As a prior investment banker servicing the private equity and venture capital space, he has significant industry knowledge and relationships, as well as experience in principal and co-investing transactions. He was a Managing Director and Co-Head of PaineWebber’s Consumer Investment Banking Group, with additional responsibility for the e-commerce sector of the Technology Investment Banking Group. His experience included directing the co-investment of the firm’s capital into high growth technology companies. Prior to PaineWebber, Turner was a New York City-based Managing Director in the Investment Banking Group of Jefferies & Company. He also served as a Managing Director for many years at Smith Barney in New York, where he founded and was Co-Head of the firm’s Consumer Investment Banking Group.
Turner currently serves on the Board of Directors and is Treasurer and Investment Committee Chair for Council on Accreditation, a global multi-million dollar not-for-profit providing accreditation services primarily for child welfare organizations.
Turner has a BA from Colgate University and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of Business.

Founder, CEO – Carolina Financial Securities
Bruce has been an investment banker and entrepreneur for over 30 years. His professional activity centers around private finance and the broader support of entrepreneurs and private business owners. This has included the creation of Carolina Entrepreneur in 2009, an annual business retreat that brings together experienced entrepreneurs from around the U.S. He also speaks at numerous conferences and workshops throughout the year on topics related to private finance and investment.
Bruce is the Founder and CEO of Carolina Financial Group, LLC (CFG), an investment bank that includes Carolina Financial Securities, LLC, a FINRA registered broker/dealer that has privately placed over $500,000,000 of financing for young and middle market companies since 1996, and where Bruce leads the banking team. In early 2005 he founded Rehabilitation Support Services, LLC (RSS) which distributes and supports technology solutions for use in addiction treatment and criminal justice applications related to substance abuse.
Before founding CFG, Bruce spent eight years with CS First Boston (CSFB), in New York, where he was a Director in the Investment Banking Department and primarily responsible for U.S. capital market financings for Pacific rim-based companies and governments. Prior to CSFB, he started his investment banking career as a corporate finance specialist at Bank of America in San Francisco, working with major U.S. and foreign corporations. Before entering investment banking, Bruce served as a Special Warfare Officer (UDT / SEAL) in the United States Navy.
Bruce graduated in 1979 from Duke University with a B.S.E. in Civil Engineering, completing a second major in Public Policy Studies. He now serves on the Advisory Board of Accelerate Appalachia, a business accelerator and is on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Aquarium. Chairman – Carolina Financial Securities
As Chairman of Carolina Financial Securities, Peter’s primary focus is developing and expanding the firm’s primary distribution capabilities for originating investment capital for the Firm’s clients. He also assists Bruce Roberts, as a partner, in overseeing the management of the firm as well as in overall development of new business. He is also an investor in and advisor to two companies owned and operated by affiliates of Carolina Financial Securities.
Prior to his affiliation with Carolina Financial Securities, Peter spent 34 years working in the investment banking industry, both in the US and abroad (primarily London, Europe and non-Japan Asia). He started his career at JP Morgan and subsequently joined Dillon, Read & Co. His other affiliation was Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns.
His most recent tenure was 20 years at The First Boston Corporation and its successor organizations (primarily CSFB). He acted in various senior client and management roles within Fixed Income, Capital Markets and Investment Banking. As such he has spent most of his career developing relationships with and advising Fortune 500 or equivalent corporations in the US and abroad in the areas of capital raising in the global markets, merger and acquisitions and structured finance transactions. In Capital Markets, his last area of responsibility, he was Co-Head of Global Debt Capital Markets overseeing all investment grade debt new issue, syndicate, corporate derivatives and liability management businesses for CSFB worldwide. As such he co-managed a 300 person department with offices in 5 countries which originated, underwrote and distributed in excess of $250 billion in new issue debt annually. In this position Peter was a member of the firm’s Investment Banking Committee, Leveraged Loan Capital Committee, Fixed Income Management and Operating Committee, and Firm wide Managing Director Selection Committee.
Since his retirement from CSFB in January 2005, and until the end of 2011, Peter was a Partner and Head of Sales and Business Development for Samoset Capital Group LLC, a CT – based, registered investment advisory firm specializing in providing wealth management services and managing funds for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals and their families directly and indirectly through other fund management institutions.
Peter has also engaged in consulting services, primarily fund raising, for a NY based hedge fund ($3 billion under management); invested in and acted as a manager of a real estate development company, MWG LLC; and participated as a limited partner investor in and a member of the Business Roundtable of Sage Capital (St. Louis, MO), a private equity firm.
Peter graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Economics. He has served on a number of charitable, public and private organizational boards, including the Red Cross- New Canaan Chapter and the Phillips Exeter capital campaign.
