Tom Boova has responsibilities directing IFG’s Asset Management business, as well as the Firm’s capital formation and client relationship functions.  Prior to IFG, he was a Managing Director at Landmark Advisors responsible for capital formation and assisting in Real Assets manager due diligence. Tom has over ten years of private equity and private wealth management experience.

Tom began his career at The First Boston Corporation, now Credit Suisse, where he was the Global Head of Short Term Trading and Sales. After 14 years at Credit Suisse First Boston, he moved to Deutsche Bank where he was a member of the Fixed Income Management, Finance and Credit Committees. Tom moved to PaineWebber Inc. where he held a number of senior positions including Head of PaineWebber International in London and a member of the PaineWebber Inc. Operating Committee. After the merger with UBS AG, Tom moved to HSBC Securities USA as the Head of Business Development for the Americas before returning to UBS Private Wealth Management.

Tom holds a B.A. from the University of Dayton and completed his graduate studies in Corporate Planning and International Management at the University of Pennsylvania. He also completed advanced management course work at the London Business School.



Bill Sprague

Bill Sprague directs the Firm’s Advisory activities in Energy and Infrastructure Finance. Previously, Bill was President and CEO of Madison Williams and Company and was responsible for the management of the Firm’s investment banking, institutional sales and trading, and equity research efforts

Bill has more than 30 years of experience in corporate finance, operations and private equity investing. He was Head of Investment Banking for Sanders Morris Harris Group and successfully built the M&A Group and Media & Communications Group at Smith Barney. Bill started his career in the High Yield and Merchant Banking areas at Kidder, Peabody.

Bill received his BA from Williams College and his MBA with distinction from Wharton School of Business


Chris Smith

Chris Smith joined the Firm as a Managing Director in the Infrastructure Finance Group. Chris has over two decades of experience in the investment banking arena, most recently in the Renewable Energy, Oil and Gas Group at Source Capital Group. His expertise spans commercial real estate development, mergers and acquisitions, structured finance and public finance at firms including HSBC and Lehman Brothers.

Chris received a BA in Economics from Union College and an MBA in Finance from Fordham University.


Turner Smith

Turner has responsibilities directing IFG’s Asset Management business and serves as the Portfolio Manager of the IFG Real Assets program. Prior to IFG, Turner was a Managing Director at Landmark Advisors, LLC where he also directed the private equity efforts in Real Assets. He was co-founder of an alternative asset management firm where he oversaw the launch and was a Portfolio Manager of both the Real Assets and Global Distressed multi-manager programs, where he directed allocations to over 40 private equity and hedge fund managers globally, as well as direct co-investments.

Turner has over 30 years of Wall Street investment banking, private equity and alternative investment experience. As a prior investment banker servicing the private equity and venture capital space, he has significant industry knowledge and relationships, as well as experience in principal and co-investing transactions. He was a Managing Director and Co-Head of PaineWebber’s Consumer Investment Banking Group, with additional responsibility for the e-commerce sector of the Technology Investment Banking Group. His experience included directing the co-investment of the firm’s capital into high growth technology companies. Prior to PaineWebber, Turner was a New York City-based Managing Director in the Investment Banking Group of Jefferies & Company. He also served as a Managing Director for many years at Smith Barney in New York, where he founded and was Co-Head of the firm’s Consumer Investment Banking Group.

Turner currently serves on the Board of Directors and is Treasurer and Investment Committee Chair for Council on Accreditation, a global multi-million dollar not-for-profit providing accreditation services primarily for child welfare organizations.

Turner has a BA from Colgate University and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of Business.
