IFG Managing Partners, Turner C. Smith and Eric Edwards Will Be In Attendance at AFCC 2022 in Washington D.C.
IFG Asset Management is proud to announce that Managing Partners Turner C. Smith and Eric Edwards will be in attendance at the Alternative Fuels & Chemicals Coalition Conference 2022 in Washington D.C.
The Alternative Fuels & Chemicals Coalition (AFCC) is a collaborative effort that is guided by the shared objectives of its industry participants. AFCC builds on the government affairs expertise that is already in place to support federal agency programs important to the alternative fuels, renewable chemicals, biobased products, and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) industries and monitor and speak out on pending legislation in the U.S. Congress.
The purpose of the coalition is to ensure issues important to the coalition are not overlooked and get the attention they need. The coalition does this through ongoing research and outreach, issuing policy statements, conferences, and cooperating with other industry groups to fill in gaps and rally support on key issues.
AFCC works on issues important to these industries, with a focus on the appropriations that fund federal agency programs and drive policy changes related to alternative fuels, renewable chemicals, biobased products, and sustainable aviation fuels.
The conference will include featured speakers during Breakout sessions, Workshops and Poster Presentations on the following subjects:
- Global biobased economy
- USDA’s BioPreferred® Program
- Biobased product manufacturing and certification
- USDA’s Section 9003 Biorefinery and Renewable Chemicals. Also included will be information on the Biobased Products Manufacturing Assistance Program which helps to support and stimulate innovation by providing loan guarantees that allow companies to commercialize first-of-a-kind technologies to produce biofuels, renewable chemicals, and biobased products
- And other key federal agency programs
IFG’s sector expertise in food and agribusiness, infrastructure, and natural resources directly correlated to the Circular Bioeconomy and has allowed for a direct co-investment in IFG’s portfolio company Viridis Chemical, LLC. Viridis Chemical is a renewable specialty chemicals company where IFG’s Turner C. Smith sits on the Board of Directors. The IFG team looks forward to learning and networking with other professionals in the Biofuels industry as it relates to the current and future opportunities in the area.
