As an Investment Banking Analyst Intern, Jacob will support the Firm’s Investment Banking Advisory and Merchant Banking activities
Jacob McGlinchey is a sophomore at Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts and a member of the University Honors Program, majoring in Finance with a minor in Computer Information Systems.
Prior to IFG and during his time at Bentley, Jacob served and continues to serve as a member of Bentley’s Investment Group with a focus on the Communications sector. His group is one of the largest student run organizations in the country, which actively manages a portfolio of over $1 million where he was responsible for financial analysis and industry research.
Outside his undergraduate studies and time at IFG, Jacob can most likely be found spending time surfing and watching Boston sports teams.
As an Investment Banking Analyst Intern, Jacob will develop strategies for clients, build detailed financial models, analyze market data and prepare client presentations, with additional responsibilities including:
- Deal Execution: Work closely with clients and execution teams on live transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, capital raisings, strategic advisory, and financings
- Client Relationship Management: Generate and present ideas at client meetings as a member of our deal team alongside senior Bankers
- Strategic Analysis: Through financial, structural, and business risk analysis, support transactions and client presentations
- New Business Development: Actively participate in the effort to pitch and win new mandates from clients, leverage proprietary content and ideas
